Just a quick one this week while I take a break from stripping rose stems, and have a well earned cup of tea and a cheeky blog!
Wedding season has bowled me over this year, in all manner of wonderful ways.
We’ve turned 170 Queens Gate next to the Natural History Museum in London, into a quintessential English country garden themed wedding, with my hard working Bo Dolls hand making bubblegum coloured linen table cloths and hessian table runners, chair backs, and bunting.
You name it, we styled it and we hand made it… that’s just the way the Bo rolls!
We’ve dressed up Home House in Mayfair a few times this year, with peach coloured antique cut crystal goblets and black bonbon dishes bulging full of figs, berries and David Austin roses.
We’ve hung dripping floral chandeliers from country barn ceilings, filled dairy farm milk-churns with huge delphiniums and hedgerow flowers, created huuuuuge floral and twisted willow hanging instillation at my all time favorite venue; MC Motors in Hackney along with London Bride, and create the flowers for one of the most incredible prop stylists in the UK at the moment; Hélène Millot (real life wedding soon to be featured on Style Me Pretty).
Weddings never get old, and I’m always amazed and grateful at how creatively open minded my clients are.
So as I sip my tea, (and wonder how this rose thorn became quite so deeply embedded in my palm…) I pinch myself a little, and breath a huge breath of thanks to everyone who has made, and who continues to make, Bo Boutique’s 2014 Wedding Season everything is has been, and is still yet to become…
